Recorded Events – Deaths

This screen shows all cattle deaths (registered and unregistered animals) that have been recorded for your holding within a specified recent period.

The list is shown in date of death order. If more than one death has taken place on the same date, the animals that died on that date are shown in eartag order, not taking account of the check digit.

You can choose to view the last month, last 3 months or last 6 months. To change the period, click on the arrow next to the ‘Time Period’ box, select the period you want to view and then click the ‘Refresh’ button.

You can also select the number of items you wish to see on the page. This can be 20, 50, 100 or 500. To change the number, click on the arrow next to the ‘Number per page’ box, select the number you want to view and then click the ‘Refresh’ button. If you choose a high number per page, you can use the scroll bar at the right of the screen to move down the page. If you choose a low number per page, the data may be displayed over more than one page and you will need to use the controls at the bottom of the page to select different pages.

Click on an underlined eartag number to view the full animal details and movement history for the animal.

If an animal is missing from the list

If a death you registered is not shown in the list, this may be because of one of the following reasons:

If none of the above applies, please contact BCMS. Contact details are on the left hand menu.

If a death has been recorded but you still have the passport

If you have the animal’s passport, Certificate of Registration or Notice of Registration, please return this to BCMS after completing the death details.
