Use this screen to register the movement of an animal OFF your holding.
The page is split into 3 sections: information entry; check information; and send the information.
This is where you enter the information. You must enter the animal eartag number and the date the animal moved OFF your holding. When you have finished click on the ‘Add to list’ button.
Eartag - enter the eartag of the animal you wish to move OFF. There are three ways you can do this.
If the eartag you wish to use is not in the list of animals on your holding, phone the BCMS Helpline.
OFF movement date - enter the date the animal moved OFF your holding in the format dd/mm/yyyy. For example 1 January 2009 will be entered as 01/01/2009. You can use shortcuts including 1/1/9, 1 1 9, 1-1-9 as they will be changed to 01/01/2009. Or you can click on the ‘Calendar’ button to select the date. This can be helpful if you know what day of the week the animal moved off.
This date will stay in this box until you choose another date or exit this screen.
CTS Online will check the date you enter.

When you have clicked the ‘Add to list’ button this moves the information to the second half of the page and adjusts the counter on the first line of this section. You can then enter another movement in Section 1.
Delete movement from list - if you want to delete one of the animals from the list, click on the circle to the left of the eartag and click the ‘Delete’ button.
Correct movement details in list - If you need to correct the information in one of the summary lines, click on the circle to the left of the eartag number and then click the ‘Edit’ button. This will move the information to the first section for you to correct. When you have made the changes, click on the ‘Replace in list’ button. This will replace the information in section 2.
When you are happy with all the information in section 2 click on the ‘Send’ button to send it to CTS. You will then see a feedback receipt, which shows the information you have sent to CTS. You can print this by clicking on the ‘print’ symbol.
If you realise you have made a mistake after sending the information to the CTS, please phone the BCMS helpline as soon as possible.
You can see the movements you have just sent using CTS Online in the ‘Recorded Events’ section on the View Cattle Summary page. When processed these animals will be removed from your main ‘Cattle on Holding’ list.
If you have more than one holding enrolled under the same Government Gateway (GG) user ID, when you record your OFF movement you will also be given the option to ‘Register ON movement to another of your enrolled holdings’.
If you click in this box, you may then select the holding onto which you are moving the cattle. Click on the arrow to the right of the CPH box and select the correct destination. Two movements will then be created for the animal.
